May 2011 saw a group of six students and two teachers from International School Guwahati,visiting Zambia on a student exchange programme. The visit to the International School of Lusaka,Zambia was both educative and entertaining. The visitors were treated to a wonderful feast of Zambian culture and hospitality. The children attended classes with various teachers in the school. The team was familiarized with the history of Zambia through visits to the National Museum and the Zambian Parliament besides being involved in a workshop on creative utilization of plastic waste. The team also presented a scientific paper on the Gangetic River Dolphin, besides presenting to the host school a model of the River Dolphin prepared from waste products.
A group of ten students and two teachers visited the Jai International School, Rajkot from October 22 to November 4, 2012 as a part of a students' exchange programme named JIS-TCS confluence , 2011-2012. The team led by Ms Nitu Das and Ms Debasmita Biswas had wonderful interactions with the teachers and students from that school. During the tour International School Guwahati students showcased their talents by putting up a Mime show and a Quiz.
